Miracles
Scotty’s debut album is a ‘refreshingly honest’ look at the journey of a life. Miracles reflects the heart of a guy who has travelled ‘to hell and back’ to be in a place where he can now respond, through music, to the challenges that life has thrown him. Scotty’s songs give us a glimpse of his struggles and his very real faith in God. His unique ‘storytelling style’ sets him apart from the average commercial artist and his songs reflect the heart of many living in a broken world.
Of Miracles Scotty says, “This album is the result of the hard work of a team of people who believed in me and my music- without my family and the close friends that God has placed in my life there would be no album, and probably no music.” As for the title, it reflects the multiple Miracles that have taken place in Scotty’s life. This album is an acknowledgement of everything that God has done in him.
Recorded with STAK Publishing & Records in collaboration with Kevin Thomas and producer Kris Rossow, the aim was to stay true to the story in Scott’s songs. It was important not to mess with the structure and length of the songs in order to release an album that uniquely presented Scott’s journey. Of his vision for the album, Scotty explains, “It was important to me that the songs stayed in tact, the way I had written them. I wanted the lyrics to communicate the heart of my story and the music to back that up. I believe that lyrics are powerful, words are powerful.” This album is a journey from track to track, the music and lyrics tell a story.
Through live performances in the past, Scotty’s music and story
has impacted many people. With the release of this album, made possible by the grace of God, his authentic story through music
has the potential to reach so many more.
